Your First Visit

Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to complete any necessary forms. If it is your first visit, our dental team recommends completing our new patient form in advance when possible.

Initial Examination

To begin, your dentist will review your medical and dental history and complete a dental exam, which will include a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, jaw, and bite, an oral cancer screening, and any required x-rays.

Treatment Plan

Your dentist will create a long-term dental treatment plan for you based on your examination and dental history. There will also be time to ask any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.

• How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

  Please call us to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please notify us of any change of plans as soon possible, so another patient can use the space in our schedule.

• Do you offer online booking?

  Yes, we offer online booking and online requests for appointments.

• Do you provide services in any languages other than English?

  Yes, our office is able to provide dental services in several languages including French and Spanish.

  If you have a language preference, please advise us when booking your appointment.

• Does your clinic have parking?

  Yes, we have convenient paid parking available for all our patients. We are also easily accessible by public transit (our office is located next to a light rail transit stop).

At Ottawa Downtown Dentist, we'll help you navigate our options for payment, direct billing to insurance companies and financing so you can focus on getting the dental care you need.

• Direct Billing to Insurance

  We are proud to offer direct billing for most insurance plans. For your convenience, we are able to submit your insurance claim electronically, leading to faster reimbursement, without the need for paper forms and signatures.

  Our administrative team can help you understand your insurance plan better and can also send estimates to your insurance company prior to starting any major treatments. We can also submit insurance claims on a client's behalf.

  Please bring your insurance plan information to your appointment.

• Financing Through Dental Card

  Ottawa Downtown Dentist offers financing options through Dental Card to help you manage your  dental payments at an affordable and comfortable pace.

• Payment Methods

  You will be responsible for any co-pays or amounts not covered by your insurance, and these will be due at the time of your appointment. 

  We accept payment by cash, debit and most major credit cards.
